Steinberg Backbone is a drum re-synthesizer for producers and sound designers creating custom percussion and cinematic sounds.

• Layer up to eight samples to build detailed drum sounds.
• Separate samples into tonal and noise components for independent processing.
• Re-synthesize individual layers for synthesizer-style control over sampled audio.
• Generate new drum samples with Sony CSL’s AI-powered DrumGAN technology.
• Process sounds through two effect buses with up to four effects per bus and flexible routing.

Use Backbone to craft signature kicks, snares, hi-hats, percussion, rises and cinematic impacts.
