Designed by Bob Moog and his engineering team, the MF-102 combined a ring modulator, a voltage-controlled carrier oscillator, and a voltage-controlled dual-waveform low-frequency oscillator (LFO) to process a variety of audio sources, including guitar, voice, and synthesizer inputs. The MF-102S captures the retro-futuristic sound of the original while introducing features tailored for modern digital creators.
