BRAND-NEW ETHNIC VST INSTRUMENTS:

Sansula Steel Tongue Drum Music Box Plucked Piano 12-String Acoustic Guitar Balalaika Oud Qanun Ukulele Muted Piano

ORIGINAL ORIGINS COUPLES:

ORIGINS Vol. I: Sansula + Steel Tongue Drum ORIGINS Vol. II: Music Box + Plucked Piano ORIGINS Vol. III: 12-String Acoustic Guitar + Balalaika ORIGINS Vol. IV: Oud + Qanun ORIGINS Vol. V: Ukulele + Muted Piano

THE SECOND COUPLE

MUSIC BOX & PLUCKED PIANO The Music Box is often considered a toy, but offers a distinct sonic experience, which composers enjoy utilizing for an impactful effect on the listener. Think of a flashback in a movie, where a kid is running through the grass on a sunny day – or imagine a serial killer caressing his cuddly toy. The music box offers the perfect sound for these intense and simultaneously subtle emotions. The Plucked Piano is the ideal companion for the Music Box to create thrilling, mysterious and arcane soundscapes in no time. As the strings are being plucked instead of hit by a soft felt-covered hammer, the resulting sound is harsher and more rugged – perfect to get your audience into the right mood.

THE THIRD COUPLE

12-STRING & BALALAIKA The 12-string acoustic guitar offers a fresh, bright sound for a modern and familiar feel and, at the same time, can be used to emphasize ethnic, far-away nuances in your music. Add the Balalaika for rich, more delicate and traditionally rooted textures. Originally from the regions of Central Asia and Russia, the Balalaika feels right at home in any ethnic, cinematic or contemporary setting, suited for gentle accompaniment as well as characteristic melodies.

THE FOURTH COUPLE

OUD & QANUN The Qanun (قانون), a renowned Arabian relative of the Zither, is famous for its unique, melodramatic sound. The Oud (عود: literally “wood”) has been the key instrument across Middle Eastern and North African traditional and popular music for centuries, even millennia in its region of origin. This forerunner of the European Lute impresses with its signature sound; the ethnic vst instrument enjoys the spotlight in your mix and pairs splendidly with the Qanun.

THE FIFTH COUPLE

UKULELE & MUTED PIANO With its light, familiar tone, the Ukulele is at home in the upper ranges. Let it happily pluck away to your score, give it a percussive twist, create ambient pads or run impressive modern-sounding arpeggios with it: The possibilities are endless and usually just one preset away. The Muted Piano provides an interesting scope for tonal design. Playing simple chords can lay an atmospheric groundwork for your composition, while the Multi-Arpeggio-Designer can give the instrument a characteristic, modern, sometimes futuristic feel. Paired with the Ukulele, you can achieve a new and fresh sound right on the pulse of time.

FEATURES

MULTI-ARPEGGIO-DESIGNER

The Multi-Arpeggio-Designer is the centerpiece of every ORIGINS – ethnic vst instrument. Two fully customizable arpeggiators create interlocking patterns and broad soundscapes by combining the unique timbres of the two instruments. The engine is designed to convey a musically meaningful, human performance, instead of a computer randomly aligning notes. Load up one of 100+ inspiring presets or create your own arpeggios in as much detail as you like. The MAD provides a variety of different features and controls to realize your musical vision.

COPY ARPEGGIO DESIGNS BETWEEN ALL ORIGINS INSTRUMENTS

You created your own ingenious arpeggio design and want to use it with another ORIGINS product? Simply copy and paste your design to use it on-the-fly in any other instrument of the ORIGINS BUNDLE.

COLORS MENU

The 12 individual color-presets provide even more possibilities to sculpt your sound. All colors are radically different in character and incorporate various effects settings and multiple impulse responses. While each MAD preset has an assigned color, you can combine everything at will, resulting in over 1200 predefined combinations.
